I’ve not done a whisky update for a little while, and certainly missed a Christmas update, but don’t worry – I did get some more whisk(e)y for Christmas, although one was a bit of a shocker!

So much for a slow start to 2020! Bitwarden is another one of those things that appear to have passed me by, although now I’ve found it I suspect it may become my password manager of choice once I’ve migrated from 1Password.

I blogged about this back at the beginning of the year here, but after reading that the Health App now supports multiple trackers, and Withings offered a great Black Friday deal, I’m now rocking an HR Steel again.
Smart (Ikea) Home
It’s funny, as in the last few months I’ve just got rid of the last of our Ikea furniture – a large king-size bed with matching bedside tables and a chest of draws in the spare bedroom. It started life as our bed in 2005 but was relegated to spare room duty in about 2010. We’ve just decorated upstairs and replaced our bedroom furniture, so that’s now in the spare room and the Ikea set is no more. What on earth has that got to do with an Ikea Smart Home, Sonos or Philips Hue though?

Only two planned trips into the Edinburgh Festival this year, and both with my 6-year-old daughter. I have been working in the centre of Edinburgh this year though so got to soak up some of the Fringe atmosphere a little more often.

I drafted a fairly positive blog about the Withings Steel HR at the end of last year when I bought and tested this for a few days. That was before the customer service nightmare I’ve had with Withings since then, which has somewhat tainted my view of them and their products 🙁
