So I covered off setting up the Virtual Machines here, but I expected some fun and games trying to replicate my Docker & Portainer environment on FreeNAS0 so thought it deserved its own blog. Turns out it wasn’t that big a job.
I’ve blogged about my use of LimeSurvey before (here and here and probably a few other places too), but I’d been using it in a ubuntu VM via a Docker container as I hadn’t seen a guide for running a LimeSurvey jail using iocage on FreeBSD, or specifically my FreeNAS box.
Until a few weeks ago, I’d never even heard of Mattermost, although I’ve enjoyed using Slack for a few work and personal projects. In less than a couple of hours, I now have my own Slack-like server, running Mattermost!
I’ve recently updated my Nextcloud jail to 15.0 and noticed one of the Apps wanted a newer version of PHP. It was running PHP 7.1.17 (which isn’t really that out of date) but I thought it might be time for some PHP updates across a number of jails…
It’s been over a month since my last blog – the longest gap since I started blogging 2 years ago. I’ve been looking into potential replacements for the current internet/intranet solutions at work, so decided to have a play with MediaWiki as they are using this for a few things, but could be using it more.
